Alatas Poland was tasked with the replacement of pumps and motors for the NMF 150T crane. This article delves into the background, challenges faced, and effective solutions implemented by Alatas to enhance the performance of this heavy-lift vessel.
Prompted by the client’s concerns and an initial on-site inspection, it was revealed that the control valves on the motors and pump were not functioning at their best. With over 30,000 operational hours, the crane was experiencing a decline in efficiency, and the build-up pressure had fallen below the nominal working values. Following thorough discussions and our professional recommendations, the client opted for a comprehensive upgrade, leading to the procurement of an entirely new set of pumps and motors for crane number 1.
Alatas Poland took charge of the situation by delivering new pumps and motors to the client. To ensure seamless integration and performance optimization, our team conducted two meticulous site visits, spanning Sao Tome and Lisbon, where the replacement of units was carried out with precision and expertise.
The undertaking involved the complete replacement of the pumps and motors, thereby revitalizing the NMF 150T heavy-lift vessel. Alatas’ commitment to excellence shone through as we executed this essential upgrade, ensuring the crane’s longevity and sustained high performance.
