Alatas then was awarded the work order for a complete refurbishment of the cranes, overhaul of hydraulic, mechanic and electric equipment, troubleshooting, function testing, and commission of the cranes, A-Frame and Stinger.

The scope of work included brake, pump and motors overhauls, slew bolt inspections, boom connection bolt change out, oil cooler overhauls, wire rope change out, PLC system and electrical system repairs and modifications, load testing and parts supply.

The high quality and professionalism of the Alatas system specialist on board led to Alatas being awarded additional work such as the overhaul of the stinger snatch blocks and wire rope change out.

The work was carried out in Johor Baru / Malaysia, as well in Ghana where the vessel is to undertake its pipe lay operations.
