|Crane Model||35T x 25M deck crane|
Alatas Singapore picked up this Tsuji deck crane jib repair job for a vessel at Singapore anchorage.
The client’s vessel is equipped with four 35T x 25M Tsuji (now IKNOW Machinery) deck cranes. Crane 3 suffered impact damage, deforming and denting the boom main chord.
The owner diverted the vessel to Singapore to utilise our IACS UR Z17 Class approval for Surveys, Servicing And Testing Of Lifting Appliances. This meant we could carry out the required steel repairs at anchorage.
Job Scope for Tsuji Deck Crane Jib Repair
Our Crane Design Department in Austria established the repair drawings and repair procedure, which we submitted to Class DNV-GL for approval prior to commencing the repairs.
Alatas Singapore then arranged a team of crane jib repair specialists to attend the vessel. The field service team took pre-cut and pre-formed steel inserts to carry out the jib steel construction repairs whilst on board.
