Problem: Leaking Hydraulic Cylinder on the FFLB Davit
One of our clients required free-fall lifeboat davit repairs for their 81,000 DWT Bulker at Singapore Anchorage. The Mansei D-FH-65 FFLB Davit’s hydraulic cylinder was leaking and the crew on board had failed to replace the faulty cylinder with a spare onboard.
Unable to carry out the work themselves, the client turned to Alatas Singapore and their experienced hydraulic technicians and riggers to complete the free-fall lifeboat davit repairs.

With the right expertise, equipment and experience, the Alatas technicians jacked the cylinder pins out and removed the damaged hydraulic cylinder safely and efficiently.
Next, the team installed the spare cylinder and refilled the hydraulic system with oil before successfully testing the entire free-fall davit. Finally, the defunct cylinder was sent ashore and transported to our Alatas Hydraulic Workshop for a full overhaul and dynamic testing.
