ALATAS SINGAPORE was tasked by our client with the main crane load cell pin replacement and load verification at a Singapore shipyard.
The main crane load cell pin is faulty, and ALATAS Singapore is assigned to replace the load pin and conduct a subsequent load verification.
The solution involves designing an engineering drawing and fabricating a jacking kit to remove the load pin. Subsequently, the jacking kit and equipment will replace the load pin. Upon completion, a load verification will be conducted using a water bag and a calibrated load cell, with the load requirement set at 150 tons.
The solution integrated cutting-edge technologies, such as Active Heave Compensation (AHC) offshore crane systems, which countered vessel motion effects during load verification. The Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Load Display Calibration fine-tuned display mechanisms, enhancing overall efficiency.
After successful implementation, a thorough load verification was conducted using a water bag and a precisely calibrated load cell, meeting the specific 150-ton load requirement.
