Alatas Turkey’s skilled technicians responded promptly to the vessel’s call, conducting a thorough inspection. They measured the hoisting wire rope’s weight, replaced the brake pads, and fine-tuned the brakes. To ensure top-notch performance, they conducted a rigorous load test. The vessel’s operations are now optimized for safety and efficiency.

BACKGROUND

The customer contacted Alatas Turkey to troubleshoot the deck, Crane, so the technicians attended to the vessel and started to troubleshoot the Crane.

ALATAS’ SOLUTION

To troubleshoot the Crane, the Alatas Turkey technicians took the weight of the hoisting wire rope, they made removal and they made a load test.

JOB SCOPE

The technicians from Alatas Turkey were onboard the vessel to troubleshoot the deck crane.

To begin, they secured the rope by placing the hook block on the deck and carefully measured the weight of the hoisting wire rope. Subsequently, they proceeded to change the brake pads by removing the hoisting brake drum from the brake drum.

After that, the technicians mounted the brake ring on the brake drum and took off the safety guards to perform the necessary brake adjustment.

Following these preparations, the Alatas Turkey technicians attached the crane load testing balloon and conducted operational tests on Crane 30 tons. Additionally, they performed a stability test on Crane 35 tons.

The deck crane’s functionality has been thoroughly assessed and improved, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
