Continued Commitment to Renewing Mental Health Training

We’re persistently proactive in tackling and preventing the stigma around mental health. It’s probable that either you or someone you know will encounter challenges with mental health during your lifetime.

In particular, since COVID-19, Alatas became more aware of the importance of mental health in the workplace and saw that they needed to support their colleagues and employees where possible.

Alatas is keen to keep employee’s awareness up-to-date, allowing refresher training and offering more people in the company the opportunity to be trained mental health first aiders to continue to offer the best possible for anyone throughout our company and to help continue the conversation amongst a variety of people to encourage the stigma to be further broken down.

The two team members at Bradford who undertook “Awareness of First Aid Mental Health” training in 2021 recently renewed their understanding of the course and increased their training from a Level 1 to a Level 2 through Omniscient Safety Innovations following a 1-1 assessment and final examination.

Two more team members from Bradford participated in the same training course and successfully obtained a Level 2 certification in Awareness of First Aid Mental Health.

Job Scope

To ensure we’re supporting our colleagues’ mental health well-being as best as possible, we now have 5 mental health first aiders at the Bradford office, supporting all UK offices and field technicians.
