Our core values

This policy has been produced to highlight Alatas Worldwide Group and all subsidiaries stance on modern slavery and human trafficking. This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, setting out the companies stance and steps taken to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply operations.

Our Stance

Alatas Worldwide and all Subsidiaries are committed to the highest ethical standard, conducting business and operations with integrity in all its dealings with customers, suppliers, and the general public. Alatas Worldwide take a zero-tolerance approach and will act in direct opposition to any form of forced, indentured, involuntary or child labour, slavery in all forms, and human trafficking. Furthermore, Alatas Worldwide will not knowingly conduct business with those engaged in such activities or knowingly permit them to be carried out as part of its business or within its operational environment.

Business and Supply Chains

Alatas Worldwide aim to achieve the highest ethical standards are when dealing with customers and supplier. Our supplier selection and on-boarding procedure includes due diligence, compliance verification and QC safety and regulatory assessment for critical suppliers.

We have not at any time been made aware of any allegations of human trafficking or slavery activities against any of our suppliers. However, should this occur, Alatas will take immediate action against the supplier, officially reporting the matter immediately to the relevant authorities and ceasing trade.

Current Policies and Procedures 

Alatas Worldwide sets out its commitment and expectation of its employees, agents and suppliers within our code of conduct, and anti-bribery and corruption, whistleblowing policies. Setting the expectation that the mention, will conduct business with and for Alatas Worldwide with the highest level of integrity in all of its operations.

Alatas Worldwide perform eligibility to work screening during the recruitment and hire on process, in order to maintain high integrity and safeguard against human trafficking or forced work of individuals, against their will.

When working with suppliers, Alatas Worldwide enforce provisions that the supplier must meet and remain compliant with the applicable law, rule and regulations, including engaging with and complying with the supplier code of conduct set out by Alatas Worldwide.

Alatas Worldwide encourage employees at all levels, including agents and suppliers to share any concerns related to violations of any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including any breaches to our code of conduct or unethical working.

Commitment

Alatas Worldwide is continually committed to championing best practice and high integrity in regards to respecting local cultures and human rights by maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring our employment practices are completed fairly with competitive terms and conditions of employment, whilst complying with all applicable laws and regulations.

We will continue to review this policy and the procedures in place to mitigate modern slavery and human tracking risk, including the requirement of our suppliers to ensure they have their own systems, policies and controls in place to combat modern slavery and human trafficking.

Accountability

This policy and all like it will continually be monitored for their effectiveness of our observance of human rights, with all leadership levels of Alatas Worldwide and all Subsidiaries, ready to take immediate remedial action should any non-compliance be identified in our operations.
