When a customer sought brake testing expertise, Alatas Turkey swiftly responded to ensure the safety and reliability of the vessel’s crucial windlass brakes. Brake systems are integral to maritime operations, and a comprehensive evaluation becomes imperative to guarantee optimal functionality.

Upon receiving the customer’s request, the technicians of Alatas Turkey promptly attended to the vessel, wasting no time in initiating the necessary assessments and adjustments. Their commitment to precision and safety was evident as they delved into the intricate task of windlass brake testing.

Job Scope:

Alatas Turkey’s technicians demonstrated meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive approach, concentrating on critical aspects of the vessel’s windlass brake systems. The examination began with the rigorous testing of the bow port windlass brake, subjecting it to a substantial weight of 14 tons and enduring a pressure of 245 bar. Subsequently, the technicians finely tuned and marked the brakes with precision, guaranteeing optimal functionality for future operations.

Transitioning to the fore starboard windlass brake, the technicians subjected it to a demanding test at 247 bar. With adjustments precisely calibrated to 27 teeth, each modification was methodically marked for future reference, highlighting the unwavering commitment to precision in operational safety.

The meticulous testing continued with the aft starboard windlass brake, rigorously assessed at 245 bar, and adjustments precisely calibrated to 30 teeth. Each adjustment was marked with meticulous detail, ensuring the sustained reliability of this critical component.

A comprehensive examination of the aft port windlass brake followed, conducted at the same 245 bar pressure. The technicians intricately calibrated the brake adjustment to 47 teeth, marking each adjustment with precision, emphasizing their steadfast commitment to maintaining operational excellence.
