MHI crane slewring change
Alatas supplied and carried out a slewring changeout for an MHI marine crane in Piraeus, Greece.
Crane 1 & 2 were down due to a collapsed slewing bearing ring. Whilst the manufacturer's delivery time was more than 18 months, ALATAS Singapore managed to produce new slewing rings within less than 5 months.
A check-up by Alatas Hong Kong on a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 2 x 25 ton twin crane showed major malfunctions in the existing crane control system. Due to the age of the crane the original control system had become obsolete over time. Alatas replaced the system
