Hydralift crane found to be experiencing problems with the boom not extending. First section cylinder required removal and resealing in shore workshop. Slewing backlash was checked, new bearings found to be required.
The two auxiliary hoists of two deck cranes, became entangled during cargo operations, the crane drivers slewed apart to try and untangle the hoist ropes, resulting in damage to the cranes.
Both cranes side cheek plates were bent out on both sides, both crane auxiliary hoist ropes were damaged.
