Details:
Alatas were assigned to carry out the installation of grab accessories and relevant controls to upgrade 4 units Mitsubishi deck cranes for use with ORTS motor grabs, type EHS-B 10m3.
The job was carried out on anchorage, using a team of fitters, welders and electricians working 24 hours a day around the clock basis in order to reduce the vessel's off-hire period to the bare minimum. The utilization of movable scaffolding in connection with a cherry picker as a mobile working platform allowed efficient and save work on the crane booms.
The job was completed in a record 4 days and the grabs where successfully tested and handed over to the happy owners.
