Mitsubishi crane slewing bearing change - Turkey

Deflection test carried out on all ship cranes before slew ring change. Slip ring wiring and bolts removed. Crane wire ropes removed. Slewing motor disconnected and mounting bolts removed to allow the pinion to rotate freely. Jib removed by barge crane. Crane house slung and top slew bolts removed from the bearing. Old bearing slung and removed using the dock crane. Inspection of slew ring carried out. New slewring fitted and bolts torqued. Slip ring and wiring replaced. Slewing motor secured and air removed from system. Boom replaced. Wire rope replaced.

Crane tested for operations. Deflection test carried out. Overload test of 35T carried out on crane.
