Alatas crane services attended a vessel with Mitsubishi deck cranes for a winch gearbox change-out, one of the cranes had a damaged hoisting winch gearbox, that needed changing. A new planetary gearbox was already on board. Using a specially prepared jig, ALATAS  carried out the removal of the old gearbox and installation of the new gearbox within 24 hours. The crane was then tested successfully in the presence of a Surveyor.
