Mitsubishi Heavy Industries crane control system update
A check-up by Alatas Hong Kong on a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 2 x 25 ton twin crane showed major malfunctions in the existing crane control system. Due to the age of the crane the original control system had become obsolete over time.
Alatas Hong Kong programmed all crane functions into a Siemens S7 system, thus ensuring worldwide continued availability of spares. When the vessel became available in Rio de Janeiro / Brazil, Alatas Hong Kong installed the control system in the crane. All functions for single and twin crane operation were checked and tested successfully. The crane is back in full service again.
