Link Belt offshore crane support vessel repairs
The Offshore Support vessel was equipped with 2 units FMC Link Belt Offshore Crane, type ABS 238A & ABS 218A. The cranes are more than 30 years old and could lift no more then half or their rated safe working load.
ALATAS Singapore Pte Ltd was called in to investigate. As it turned out, the entire crane machinery was in need of a ground-up re-built, including:
- Torque Converters
- Accumulators
- Winch Clutches
- Main Drive Clutch
- Transfer Gearboxes
- Planetary Gears
- Re-build of fuel & oil tank, fitting of new wire ropes, boom bolts, flood lights etc.
ALATAS vast expertise in procurement of spare parts for these old cranes, our experienced Offshore Crane Engineers and our workshop resources were put to good use on this project.
