The boom of crane Nr. 3 had deep corrosion holes at it's forward section.

The affected boom area needed to be cut out and a new, pre-formed high tensile steel section needed to be inserted.

ALATAS Singapore and it's skilled team of engineers and fitters where called in to carry out the crane repair.

Working 24 hrs per day, the task was completed within 2½ days, including a final crane overload test.
The repairs where carried out following Liebherr's steel repair procedures and under class supervision.
