Assignment: Hatlapa Crane, Supply & exchange of slewing bearing, machining of base flange, crane troubleshooting & refurbishment
A recently purchased vessel proved to be a "rotten egg" for the owner: The single, mid-ship mounted Deck Crane, make HATLAPA, type BD 30024.5 was the culprit. The hydraulic pumps & motors were in need for overhaul, the switch panel was in a desperate state and, worst of all, the main slewing bearing ring was about to collapse.
ALATAS' expertise and resources were needed to:
a)
Source and supply a new crane slewing bearing ring
(The maker's quoted delivery time was 28 (!) months, whereas ALATAS was able to deliver a slewing bearing within 5 months only and at a fraction of the price)
b)
Overhaul all hydraulic equipment in our specialized hydraulic workshop.
c)
Arrange and supervise the machining of the base flange.
d)
Dispatch our senior engineer to rectify the hydraulic and electric system and to supervise the slewing bearing change-out.
