Repair to Dongnam provision crane boom carried out to GL approval
A Dongnam provision crane boom was found to be excessively bent from the jib heel to pivot end. Alatas carried out a repair in their specialist workshops which included renewing the hoist motor seating arrangement, forming a high tensile steel box section as per specialist engineering fabrication drawings. The jib heel clevises, luff and head blocks and access gantry and handrails. On completion the crane jib in entirety was tested as per repair specifications.
