Repair carried out at Pioneer Yard, Keppel Fels Ltd (Singapore) to troubleshoot and repair the tricky problem of main hoisting winch No-4 (800MT).
Placed the ERI card (error indicator card) on P-IMI board and checked the error code E299, fault code F200, F320 which were showing on ICU. But these faults could not be detected by ERI card.
Further troubleshooting revealed the braking chopper voltage low setting of IGBT stack PCB cards (P-IMI) problem which triggers the winch problem. Set to the right value by replacing electronic components. Testing of the crane carried out after repairs, all found to be working as required.
