Boom hinge repairs on Kawasaki deck cranes
The vessel is equipped with 2 units Kawasaki Deck Cranes, SWL 35t, Model KMS-3528. The boom hinge construction consists of a Heel Pin, a Bearing Bush and a Boom Hinge Piece. All parts had seriously worn down and needed urgent repairs. ALATAS' Mobile repair squad was called in to carry out necessary repairs on anchorage. The heel pin was welded-up and machined to size, new bronze bushes machined & supplied and assembled with new boom hinge pieces. The repairs were carried out under class supervision and final class approval was obtained.
