Inspection of Amclyde crane.

Alatas crane services were called out to inspect an Amclyde crane. The scope of work included inspection of boom winch brake drum / bands, rope pulleys, wire ropes and general crane check ups.Rope sheaves were found to be worn, the boom wire rope was found to have uneven wear in different areas. Recommendations included change of wire rope and a repair to the main housing and replace pin if required. The brake bands after inspection were recommended for repair or replacement.
