1200t Amclyde overhaul supervision and crane re-certification with GL in Dubai and Hamburg
The Offshore Support vessel is equipped with a 1200t Amclyde crane.
The ALATAS Middle East FZE job scope at the Dubai Dry Dock covered:
Complete project management.
The condition evaluation of the complete crane.
Full NDT inspection of the load carrying structure.
Preparation of a full job and project plan for seven(7) months.
Preparation and approval for all relevant NDT and welding procedures.
Supervision of replacement and repair of structural elements.
Supervision of disassembly, overhaul, assembly and testing of all diesel engines, winch clutches, torque converter, gearboxes etc.
Removal, NDT, installation of new bearings and seals for all rope sheaves located at the boom and a-frame.
Installation of new wire ropes.
Design and fabrication of a new tailor made main drive pinion with its finished weight of 300kg.
Engineering, design, approval, manufacturing supervision and testing of a new 1200t hook shackle.
Supervision and testing of a new SLI system for all three hoist arrangements.
Load and overload test of the crane using a complete barge as test weight.
Establishing of an updated crane certification document package and the submission to GL Hamburg for review and approval.
Hand over.
