Reporting directly to the main board of directors as part of the Senior Management Team, you will actively contribute to the on-going program of improvements and become a champion of change.
The position will be based in the UK but will involve travel to our overseas suppliers & subsidiaries, candidates must be eligible to work and live in the European Union.

The successful candidate will require:
An effective knowledge of supply chains, business and tax laws, invoice and inventory procedures, and transportation and logistics.
A track record in negotiating purchase agreements along with a proven ability to plan, execute, and oversee purchasing strategies that are conducive to company profitability.
A strong knowledge & understanding of technical product information (experience in engineering products and services would be an advantage).
Excellent communication (verbal & written) with the ability to influence and negotiate at different organisational levels.
Experience in working in an international environment.

You will be dealing with international customer enquiries for both construction and marine/offshore crane parts and be involved with the entire process from parts identification and generating quotations through to purchasing and sales order processing.
The candidate will be required to have the following:
Minimum 2 year’s experience in an office environment
Minimum HND in an engineering discipline

Project management of mechanical / structural calculations, cost tracking, specification review/coordination, & production of approval /shop fabrication drawings. Provide recommendations for operations and maintenance issues related to cranes, such as derating and retiring cranes. Approve repair schemes and overhaul maintenance of existing cranes.
Required skills:
Excellent working knowledge of design software. Must have a B.S. degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent. Must possess 5 years+ of post graduation experience in related industry with most experience in crane operations, inspection and troubleshooting with preferably at least 50% of that time spent in a central engineering support group or equivalent consulting role.
